Suggested Division 15 Specification Plenum Slot Diffusers N Series Supply Model: N-1-D - 3/4" Slot Supply with Down-Blow Plenum slot diffusers with down-blow section shall be TITUS Model N-1-D (¾-inch slot width) of the sizes and mounting type shown on the plans and outlet schedule. Diffusers shall discharge air horizontally through two outside sections and vertically through a center down-blow section. Standard nominal lengths shall be 2, 3, 4 or 5 feet. Units shall be constructed of 24-gauge steel. Maximum height of the units shall be 7 inches. Inlets shall have a minimum of 1½-inch depth for duct connection. The standard finish will be black on the face of the diffuser and pattern deflectors. The outside supply sections shall include an extruded aluminum curved deflector blade. The center down-blow section shall have an adjustable modulinear “ice-tong” shaped steel deflector to achieve not only vertical discharge, but vertical air volume control as well. Center down-blow section shall include ¼-inch thick insulated internal lining on each side opposite the modulinear pattern controller. All pattern controller adjustments shall be accessible from the face of the diffuser. The center down-blow shall be available in lengths of 12, 15 or 18 inches. The manufacturers shall provide published performance data for the plenum slot diffuser. The diffuser shall be tested in accordance with ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 70-1991.
